The past 6 weeks has been many things; tiring, hectic, mad-crazy fun, highs, chillax.

Met tons of people from all over the world.

Done a load of crazy things.

Learnt how to live.

I definitely miss Berkeley. Already do and always will.

Finance and esp Investment made me feel out of my element. But, that's how we stretch, no? (:

People chasing their dreams,

My eyes have been hinting for a break since like forever! But i need to study!!!!

Nic reminds me that sleep enhances memory. Whilst that is true, my memory requires some input before it can enhance what's left inside.

It's our 2nd last day here in Berkeley. And I'm already starting to miss not being able to hang out with the people, late nights, chilling out, cloyne court, lunches @ ihouse, our fav telegraph street, golden bears, xroads, and the list goes on.

U.S. has opened my eyes.

Not literally of course. If only eh. haha.

Anyhoos, she has given me experiences I'd otherwise not have been able to understand, met people who helped my self-discovery, people who taught me what living is about.

It's been ages since I've updated so here some:
Am in UC Berkeley now for the summer doing Investment and Finance. It's pretty shiong here.

Not like I can slack everyday. I did for the 1st week but now I'm paying the "price". oh well~

Goes to show, ain't that smart yet to slack and get the results. haha.

Anyhoos, the weather here is kinda superb yet kinda ugh. It's a love-hate thing.

Its NOT HUMID AT ALL! which I'm so psyched about. BUT.... the weather change sucks.

Classes are pretty much ok here. Very different style of teaching here. Actually I honestly wouldn't call it teaching. It's more of... exchange of knowledge. Good cos it makes u think and actually use ur brains. Bad cos... you don't really learn. I knw it sounds like I'm contradicting what I just said. But it's true!

Bah~ Shan;t go into details 'bout that. ;p

The people here are very very friendly and nicee. It's pretty safe here. Maybe cos the guys always walk us back so we don't feel like it's dangerous? But still.. so far no one "deadly" looking. Hopefully none to come. haha.

But yea, there's quite a no of asians here. Maybe cos it's Berkeley. LOL. According to my friend, yes, because it's UC Berkeley which is one of the best business schools in the world. Sterotype. Haha.

Exams are looming near. Mid-terms are just next week - Mon and Wed.

I'm pretty nervous and worried about it. Simply b'cos investment isn't my "thang" YET. haha. Still getting a grasp of it. Plus trying to adapt to the teaching styles. It's kinda hard to learn here. Seems like gotta do everything urself. No spoonfeeding here.

That means tons of readings, assignments, projects, readings, discussions, readings, readings, readings...etc.

It never ends...YET! haha. Till 3 week more. HAHA.

Am kinda lazy to post pics up now. haha. Gotta study lar. Stressed.

But we do really really appreciate the thought. I know how much it takes to throw smth like that esp if you're doing the food as well.

So really thankful for all those who came, Mom for the $$ for the food supplies, Nad for the cooking the supplies, organizing, all the presents we received. They were quite practical *looks @ lu* hahahaha. And yes, also for the guys who helped clean and pack everything up. Lsx for organizing the guys, getting ppl to help, chauffeuring ppl ard, and all.

Anyhoos, after a couple of days reading up on my law text, I realised that law stuff is actually very "law" (lor)-sor. Zz.. That which can be phrased in a short phrase is actually almost a paragraph-long sentence!!! Yes. It's a sentence. Imagine the commas, dashes, semicolons.
Mind boggling.

Altho... I think it may be kinda fun to speak in law terms and the lonnnggg sentences.
Hmmm..

Normal person: Oral evidence cannot override written contracts in court in this case.

It was kinda...um, I was a lil hesitant cos... there's alot of stuff that I won't eat.

Or so I thought.

We went there anyway, on Chloe's promise that it'll be scrumptious.

And it was.

We ordered.... we ate... and my verdict is...

1. Green Curry Chicken

- not bad. doesn't taste as unusual as it's lime green curry

2. White Crystal Kai Lan with homemade sauce

- love it. seriously! the only vege i'd keep going back for (: the great thing is... cos it didn't taste too vegey-ish.

3. Olive Rice

- yum. but... there was too much peas, and carrots. haha.

Overall, I had a blast. Squashed. Catched up. Tried new stuff for lunch. Revisited some econs concepts. Good dinner.

Seriously, it has been with me since eons ago, upgraded from 125 degrees to 90 degrees with nball trngs, and was named in AJ. haha. The tiny history of me legs. haha.

Anyhoos, I'm rrly glad with me tdy.

Rrly gave it my all, and controlled how far I pushed myself.

It was @ the lactic acid mark, then the mental challenge to keep going with increasing lactic acid, then butt high lactic acid, then another push to limits then reach break point. (: happy. A bit more, and I woulda've puked bfast bread. haha.

It's been 2hrs since I started on marketing revision, and... the progress is pathetic.
2 hrs and barely 1/2 a chapt done. arghs~

And addition to keeping me away from studying, is Braddell.
Braddell sucks.
The air is still, no ventilation, it's crazily hot, all our fans are spoilt (expt 1), no food, and there's a bunch of insects making the ledge their home. It totally freaks me out.
It feels like they're trying to build their nest and reach into our room and soon, take over our house and eat us. eegad~ creepy crawlies gives me the... creeps.
